Funding Information

3- and 4-year-old funding

At St Francis Pre-School we can offer the Governments funded 15 hours the term after your child turns 3. This entitles your child to 15 funded hours at pre-school per week over 38 weeks of the year.

Funding and Early Learning for 2 year olds

We offer the 2-year-old funding the term after your child turns 2. The 2-year-old funding is not a universal offer. You can apply for 2-year-old funding online by visiting www.bromley.gov.uk Then click on education and learning- Early years childcare- help with childcare costs.

You will receive a confirmation letter which should be brought into pre-school. We can then claim your 2-year-old funding for you.

30-hour funding

All 3- and 4-year olds are entitled to 15-hour universal funded hours, but eligible families may be able to claim an additional 15 hours. Eligibility criteria.
  • Both parents must be working (or the sole parent is working in a lone parent family)
  • Each parent must earn on average a weekly minimum equivalent to 16 hours at national minimum wage and less than £100,000 a year.

Fee Payers

We also accept children from 2 years old who are not in receipt of any funded payments. A 3 hour session is £21.00.

2-year-old working parent funding

Can be claimed the term after your child’s second birthday. You can apply by visiting www.childcarechoices.gov.uk You will receive an 11 digit code beginning with a 5. This code should be given to the nursery along with your funding form so we can claim the funding on your behalf.

From September  2025 your child will be entitled to 30 funded hours.

9 month old funding

9 month old funding can be claimed the term after your child turns 9 months old. You can apply by visiting www.childcarechoices.gov.uk You will receive an 11 digit code beginning with a 5. This code should be given to the nursery along with your funding form so we can claim the funding on your behalf. From September 2025 your child will be entitled to 30 hours of funding.
